Frequently Asked Questions

We are a nonprofit, so many of our workshops and webinars are free, and paid options are low cost with sliding scales. Grants and community partners help us cover expenses so families are not turned away for financial reasons. If a fee applies, we are transparent about it and can often provide fee waivers or scholarships. Our goal is simple: make sure cost never blocks a gifted child from being challenged, supported, and seen.

Yes. You do not need test scores to start with us. We welcome families who see potential and need guidance. We help you gather multiple indicators of talent, request school evaluations, understand policies, and advocate for appropriate placement. We also support English learners and twice-exceptional students. Our mission centers underrepresented learners, but our programs are open to all families committed to nurturing their child’s gifts.

You choose what fits your family. We offer short, stand‑alone workshops, on‑demand webinars you can watch anytime, after‑school options, and summer programs. There are no long contracts or rigid schedules. Start small with a single session or newsletter signup, then add more as your schedule allows. Our goal is to reduce stress, not add to it.

Yes. Most family workshops and many student sessions are offered live online with recordings available. We partner with community hubs like libraries and cultural centers to host local events, and when funding allows we provide transportation support. We also offer multilingual materials and interpreters so language is never a barrier.

Our approach is grounded in research on gifted education and equity. Programs are led by experienced educators and trained parent advocates. We track meaningful outcomes such as successful identification, access to advanced coursework, arts placements, and college‑readiness milestones. Families report higher confidence, better advocacy skills, and improved school fit. We continuously refine content based on feedback and partnerships with schools and universities.

Absolutely. Inclusion is our foundation. We create culturally responsive spaces, highlight diverse role models, and celebrate multilingualism. For twice‑exceptional learners, we balance strengths and supports, coordinating strategies that address both challenge and need. Small groups and caring mentors help every child feel seen, respected, and encouraged.
